Our dogs have correct sound temperament, receive obedience training and have been raised in our home around our family & on our ranch. As small hobby breeders we breed only one to two litters per year. The Cane Corso is a passion of ours and an integral part of our family life. They do work well to help us protect our family, home, ranch property and livestock. This is a large guardian working breed and although often very loving of its family, it may be wary of and not be fond of strangers. The Cane Corso breed requires prospective owners to be capable of providing training, socialization & exercise/work for their pup. There is a required application process we use through the Good Dog Platform: https://www.gooddog.com/breeders/mtz-cane-corso-llc-193792
Before going home, the puppies' tails are docked, dewclaws removed, dewormed, microchipped, and first round of puppy vaccinations given by veterinarian with health certificate. Families may opt to not have tails docked if commitment deposit is received prior to vet appointment at 2-5 days old. We use AVIDOG and "Puppy Culture" as a guide in raising & socializing our puppies during the first 12weeks. To achieve a good fit for our pups we also do a puppy aptitude test to match families while keeping in mind personal preferences.
Puppies may go home when ready after 8-10weeks. New owners must arrange for ear cropping if desired (usually recommended by 12-14wks of age). As both veterans and working medical health professionals we proudly offer a 10% discount for Veterans, First Responders, and Law Enforcement Officers. We thank you for your interest in our dogs and this wonderful breed.

The Cane Corso is a large Italian Mastiff breed which does best in the home of an experienced dog owner. The AKC describes them as smart, trainable, and of noble bearing, the assertive and confident Cane Corso is a peerless protector. The Corso’s lineage goes back to ancient Roman times, and the breed’s name roughly translates from the Latin as “bodyguard dog”. Please do research about their specific characteristics and qualities to familiarize yourself about them before considering taking one home. They are a very interesting and unique guardian breed, but as such require a lot of socialization, training & time. Please also consider adopting, foster and/or donating to a cane corso rescue organization.
